This is my FIRST ever comment here in Substack 🫶🏻 I’m a newcomer and through the week I’ve been discovering amazing pieces from human souls. Thank you Kate for reminding us that living in our own terms is sacred ✨ despite the guilt or fear that arises. I’m magically enjoying your content.

I loved this Kate! This feels like a permission slip and manta all in one. I’ll definitely utilize this new thought process as I filter what stays and what goes in my life.

This came into my feed immediately after I woke up and unsubscribed to two publications by a single author that consistently annoyed me. It was a huge rush of power and freedom to just say, "Not for me." No bad wishes or energy, just goodbye and good luck. I'm reading that your post came to me as a way of confirming a right choice. Thanks!

Feeling this! I dabbled with a dating app recently then realized that I'm just not into it. It's not where I want to put my energy. My focus is on finally (in an exciting way, not self-shaming) claiming the value of my work and finding connections to promote its need in recovery and healing places. I'm going to fucking change the way medical institutions tend to the emotional well-being of their patients and employees. I believe that I can. I feel it and I'm happy that I stopped putting my energy into things I felt I "should".
