Before I read the list I thought, "oh I don't really do much magic". I guess I never thought of talking to plants and animals or blessing water before I drink it as magic, but I do those daily.
One I'll add is when I am trying to meditate and my brain is too chatty, or I've slipped into a spiral thought I feel stuck in, I picture my mind like an Etch-a-Sketch and shake my head side to side envisioning the thoughts jumbling up and falling away to leave a clean screen.
I live on the 19th floor of a Vancouver West End apartment, and whenever I enter the elevator, I whisper a small thanks to the local god(dess) of necessary transportation mechanisms.
Each morning as I drive across the bridge, I say hi to the river and check her mood. Tell her if she’s looking particularly lovely, comfort her if she looks agitated. My daughter has taken to filling me in on the river’s mood when the traffic is bad. There’s so much power and life in a river! And if I have anything emotional I’m needing to leave behind, I let her sweep it downstream.
"I take a deep breath. I don't care who's watching." -- I do this, too! Only if someone is watching (or listening), they ask me, "What's wrong?" It's not a big, dramatic sigh, just a box breath. Sometimes it makes me sad that they don't know how to relish the magical feel of something that is so simple but is vital to our existence.
I love this! I saw your original thread on Threads. I'm still thinking about the suggestion of the "group poop" to flush away Donald Dump. LOL!
A few of mine...
Pour coffee for my dad (in spirit) each morning.
Sun in your eyes first thing in the morning is really important for health and sleep. So when I do that, I use it as an opportunity to connect with the land and nature and thank the sun.
If I have unkind thoughts about someone, I think, "Please heal that in all directions."
When I'm driving, I imagine that my car is an impenetrable tank. Only it doesn't shoot bullets. It shoots roses. I visualize protection in all directions. Interestingly, I was in a friend's car, and he was driving fast on the highway. It made me nervous. So when I connected with the energy of protection around the car, I could very clearly feel that it had never been energetically protected (because why would it? He's not a witch.) It definitely felt different. Lighter - but not necessarily in a good way. A vulnerable way, like it wasn't stable and grounded.
I love rituals. They hold such importance in my world too. Here is a little snapshot of a few….I call all living creatures as “they/she/he” instead of “it”…like birds, ocean and trees. I talk to them too. Especially ravens and crows. They do remember faces and people 💜
I believe in community and want to feel the reciprocity and connection there amongst animals and plants as well as humans. And I always make a wish on a shooting star, a wishing stone (the ones with a line all around them) and when blowing out candles (like all candles all the time…not only reserved for birthdays).
I thank my candles before blowing them out, I smile and say "good morning" to the world when I step out my front door in the mornings, I share my blood and my favorite drinks with my house plants/the earth outside, I always say hello to the moon and tell her she looks beautiful, I thank each part of my body as I moisturize it and annoint myself as I put on my body oil, I thank the plants and animals in my food before I eat, I vocalize on hikes, I greet and say goodbye to my house when I enter and leave, I put intentions into my perfume as I apply it every day, I cut tiny locks of my hair to leave as offerings every time I forage or collect something from nature, I open the windows on weekend mornings to release stagnant energy

Whenever I misplace an item, I call for it in a sing-song voice to coax it out of hiding.
This is fantastic - and if emojis are spells, I'm a mage 🧙🩵🧚♂️
I loved that one! I’ll never look at an emoji choice the same way.
I am a very visual person so careful emoji choices in texts or posts are important to me

I’m the queen of a sigh. I feel you! It’s vital.
I am going to adopt so many of these!!!!
Me too! And I sure would like to know how to make fairy noises!
Same here🙃🙃
Love these! What a creative, magical community ✨🌈🦄🧙🏼♀️🪄
Seriously! Blew me away.
Love love love this! Thank you!
I’m SO glad you enjoyed it!
✨✨ did!
These are so magical! Here are a few of mine:
✨ I have a fairy tattoo on the back of my neck, and I add glitter to it every day to wake my magic up.
✨ I wear a big teardrop ring on my finger and keep a dime inside it so it rings like a bell.
✨ I say “sprinkle sprinkle” to my friends and family, which means I love you.
✨ I wear lavender essential oil as perfume.
✨ I ring a bell at the end of each workday to signal to my brain that it’s time to switch gears.
✨ The emoji to my left is my signature emoji, because I leave a trail of stars everywhere I go.
