oooh i love this post so much. i’ve also moved a bunch (by choice!) and love the sentiment around making each move feel like an adventure. playing jazz in the mornings, lighting a candle…i do those things too! it’s often the little things that make me happiest 😌
I am curious your take on astrocartography as it relates to alignment! I feel like its trending A LOT and as a trained astrologer, its not my niche but I understand it. I live in a city I do not feel aligned to and it does happen to be near a pluto line! I go back and forth on whether or not I feel connected to my house here. I think its so twisted up in my frustration with this city and its hard to feel particularly positive about what I am coming home to!
This is so relatable — I completely agree on the importance of rituals to welcome any space as your own. I’ve had 11 international moves and have lost count of the number of homes we’ve lived in! My parents are still nomadic, living between multiple countries. In my younger years, I often felt untethered — even jealous — of those who had a permanent base. But over time, I’ve come to realize what a gift that freedom is: the ability to move fluidly through the world. I’ve learned that home is not a place — it’s a feeling 💕
I love the idea of creating a relationship with your space and noticing the daily practices you can only do there. I'm curious to know your Human Design environment if you know it?
My husband and I are on our 8th home in 20 years. Not quite to your level, but a lot of moving. My best advice? Move when pregnant or having just delivered a baby - this happened with both of the births of our sons, we were moving at the same time, and it got me off the hook for doing, well, pretty much any of it. I mean, in my defense, I was keeping an infant alive... lol And, as our boys grew, my first goal in every new house was their rooms. Once I could get them settled and feeling at home, the rest fell into place easily.
I’ve lived in 20 homes. I’m in my 21st home and have been here for 11 years. We moved around a lot during childhood and I kept it going into adulthood. Growing up we didn’t have much money, but my mom would still take pride in each home by cleaning, decluttering and making it look nice and feel like home. In my current home, I love being the first to awaken in the morning. I love sitting with my coffee by our front window and watching ours and other neighborhood cats greet each other, chase and play.

You’re The Bomb Kate…love this! ❤️🌷🙏
I’ll be moving someplace towards the end of this year and I have no idea, yet, where.
I’m from back east and this sounded SO appealing…🙌🌱
